messy, twisted updo

Hey girls!

I didn't get this up for you Friday, WOOPS! ;) But TODAY I will show you how I did this look for Brooke:

I also forgot to take pics initially {put me in time out) but I tried to explain it well below.

Here we go...

I promise I am trying to get better at these tutorials, bear with me, we'll get there haha. I also forgot to mention, I clearly sprayed the front pieces once I got them into place. So...do that.

Let me know if you have any questions, working on a few more for you all, including just a 'poof' one by popular request!

You lost me on step one. I will never be able to do this by myself, so I will call on Flawless by PLL.

If you need me, I'll be chasing down lawnmower men.

This looks so nice! I don't think I could ever do it though haha

You might be a hair-whisperer... because if I ever attempted to do this, it would look like a birds nest. Kudos girl it looks great!

Natalia said...

Rachel said...

Yes please to the makeup tutorial! ;)
I'm looking for my wedding makeup inspiration, and I'm loving thissss!

You do such a good job at both hair and make-up...I mean, looking at this, I think I can do it...but chances are I would just end up putting hair in a pony tail and drinking all the wine.

Yes to the make-up tutorial :)

PLL - you make this look SO much easier than it is! Let me be your next hair model! :)

You are so amazing! I'm such a girly girl but have no sisters, and my sorority sisters are far away so you're my go-to for hair and make up and everything girly! Is that weird since I don't know you?? Maybe (yes) but you have the best ideas! Your posts always make my day :)

i seriously can't even believe these. they look so good! i also think they look really hard to do on yourself, yes? also, yes on the makeup tutorial!

I'm hairstyle illiterate, or whatever. Horrible at doing my own hair. If it doesn't involve a flat iron or hot rollers, count me OUT...I'd rather save hours worth of frustration and have my stylist do it. Time is money, honey. :)

YES on the makeup tutorial. Yours always looks so flawless, and since I'm also blonde, I always like to know how other blondes successfully pull off a smoky eye without looking hookerish...cause Lord knows I can't. I must be doing it wrong, LOL!!

Sami said...

Girlfriend this is gorg! I can't wait for you to come and do it on my hair ;) Haha but really there is no way I can do this myself! She looks gorg though, love the eye makeup! You are a genius my dear! Hope you had a fab weekend! xoxo

Jeremy and Megan said...

You may not have gone to school for hair but this style makes it seem like you did!! LOVE this hairstyle!! :)

Veronika said...

you are amazing at this stuff! I can hardly do a ponytai right haha :)

Lindsey said...

This is seriously amazing! I definitely want to try it. I hope I have the patience for it. How long is Brooke's hair? Keep the tutorials coming PLL!

Renata said...

I want to see how you would style your own hair sans weave or Bonnie - I think we have the same length of hair and it seems so awkwar for me to try to make it look polished! Other ladies hairs I can do up no probs, bit 90% of the time I look like a street urchin.

Brooke is gorgeous! And you are so amazing at doing hair. I would never in a million years be able to do this!! I tried your simple one and it didn't look anything like yours. Practce, practice, practice....

I love how this look seems so effortless but has that nice touch of classy & clean to it. I can't wait to grow my hair out and try this!

Of course, yes on the make-up tutorial! I want to know what you use! :)

Love this look! (oh and by the way, I went to school for cosmetology, and we totally start from the bottom letting hair down as we go- see, you're more of a professional than you thought! ;) )

Absolutely gorgeous! I did the messy side ponytail for a beach wedding this weekend, and the bride was completely jealous at how great it looked in five minutes, while she had just sat in a beauticians chair getting her hair done for two hours!!! Thanks for the idea/tutorial!
