Today's subject? Skincare. More specifically? Olay® Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer!
When I got contacted about doing a review for Olay, I was pumped. Coincidence our girl Carrie is the face of Olay? I think NOT.
Oh hey there Carrie!
Anyways, back to skincare. We all know it is SUPER important to take care of our skin. I am 27 and, by golly, my skin is a-changing. I have become increasingly aware the past few years of how important preventative anti-aging action is. Ladies, be SMART! You have GOT to be preventing those wrinkles!
I often get questions about my complexion, and luckily the skin gods did bless me with great skin, but let's get serious, we all have imperfections.
Here I am in typical PinkLouLou fashion with da makeups on.
AND here I am sans makeup.
(I know, I know, I have lost my mind for posting this.)
So, you can't really see in this picture, but I have these two identical sun spots. Le sigh. And I am always on the hunt for products that will help diminish those little puppies. So imagine my excitement when I found out that Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer promised to immediately help with that? I was at about a 10.
So here is the dish.
What it is: It is an all-in-one formula that fights seven signs of aging with a vitamin-rich complex that combines daily anti-aging moisturizer, SPF 15 sunscreen and sheer tint for younger looking, even-toned skin.
Oh I am not done, it also targets the following signs of aging:
Fine Lines and Wrinkles: reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Uneven Tone: balances and helps even out tone
Age Spots: reduces appearance of discoloration
Gentle Exfoliation: improves skin surface turnover
Dryness: provides nourishing moisturization
Moisture Barrier: replenishes/protects skin's natural defense against moisture loss
Luminosity: recaptures youthful luminosity
Ummm. YES PLEASE.
So I have been using it for about two weeks. My first thought is I love it. It goes on very smoothly and it smells fantastic. I have been using it as a make-up primer, honestly. It has a slight tint and I have found the consistency is great for right before my make-up application -- and the tint helps even out my skin prior to foundation. I have noticed my skin looks a lot brighter, and it really is helping to even out the sun spots' appearance instantly.
So ladies, I know we are all so busy we can't even think straight, but spending a little time daily on your skin now is gonna save you a lot of time later. What are some of the ways you carve out time to take care of your skin? Tell me about it in the comments for the chance to win a $50 Visa gift card!
