Bourbon, Ponies and Hairspray: Welcome to Kentucky

Hey hey! So sorry to worry you all. I have been getting tweets wondering where the heck I have been. WOOPS ;)

I just been bizzay, ya heard?

This weekend was opening weekend of Keeneland!

My friend Erin came down to stay with us from Columbus. Girlfrand had NEVER been to Keeneland, and sweet thang was overwhelmed with all the boys in ties. HA ha. It was like watching the Discovery Channel seeing her experience all the Southernness.

We welcomed her appropro, with Bourbon and other of the Kentucky like ;)

I even poofed her to which she responded: "I haven't seen this much hairspray since my 7th grade dance!"

Haha. LOVE her heart.

We had SO much fun. Friday night we took her downtown to Bluegrass Tavern, and Wildcat Saloon.

We had enough fun for the entire bar I do believe.

{ps my top is from Targjay for inquiring minds}

{roomies! more on that in a min...}

Look who I found, Lauren and Chelsea! Happy b-day to Lauren!

Erin proudly, and bravely, rocked out her Ohio State koozie in CAT country

 Fan photo shoot. Standard.

Please note that after these photos, a fairly substantial Taco Bell order took place. Get the cheesy fiesta potatoes. Thank me later.

Saturday morning, we got up bright and early and fed Erin her first Chic-fil-A breakfast. You are welcome E.

Then off to Keeneleand we went... with 24 oz roadies. Don't judge.

Color me PINK when I was surprised in the port-a-potty line by an appearance from my bloggy friend Jen! Jen and I were trying to meet up, and it magically happened. It was perfect!

Can we discuss how precious her baby girl Carsyn is? Umm... I wanted to kidnap her and never give her back! You hear that Carsyn? You come see your Auntie PLL again soon!

{I spy a Cowboy Casanova!}

Sissy and Matty. Insert "awwwwwww..."

yeah, yeah.

Another bloggy sighting! Sweet Sarah and I met face to face. So fun!
Whenever I meet blog friends for the first time, I am always wondering if they are thinking...

"That's it... this is you? You are way less cool in person..."

HAHA

Sarah you are a sweetie, and that poofing comb of yours is legit ma'am.

***

In other news of what the heck I have been up to, I have been crazy busy post-move, getting the house in order. I took last Friday off to unpack and get organized, and I STILL have nothing on the walls.

For those of you curious, Chrissy and I moved in with Brian- aka Jack Tripper.

Of course I got stuck being Janet.

If this isn't evidence I should never go dark, I don't know WHAT is.

All for now ladies...

And that shirt and dress were to die for - super presh!!

Your dress is adorbs!

Don't feel bad about having nothing on your walls. We've been in our house just over 2 years and it took the impending birth of our baby (any day now!) to get us to make a serious effort at decorating.

waaahh I miss the South...Can't wait to get back to it! Love the shirt from Targjay!

Oh my gosh, I saw your photos on FB and flipped out over your shirt. Then I walk into Target today at lunch and spot it, however I want the color you have and they didn't have in my size so I bought a print but will stop at another Target closer in to see if I can switch it out for the mustard color. Too funny!
Great photos, y'all look gorgeous and looks like you had a blast!

omg where did she get that ohio state koozie?? i love it!

o em gizzle, so many pics! I saw your shirt and immed knew I just saw it at Target Sunday when I was buying my first pair of flats. I don't do flats btw. I feel like a frumpy fat midge in them.

UGH! Cowboy Casanova, wuaha! What up CC?!

You look beyond gorgeous and perfect in all the pics. LOVE YOU!

XOXO LLLL1st

p.s. Can we discuss how I'm having a semi-nervous breakdown thanks to the move. My mom and brother rented a 10 ft UHaul yesterday and packed it to the max while I was at work to move the rest of my stuff. YES. EVEN AFTER WE HAD MOVERS aka the Beast. I'm editing my life because I own way too much shiz. That is all. I need to see a therapist over this move and that is not normal.

Look at sweet Carsyn! Jen said you were just as great in person, btw!

Did you get that shirt recently? What brand is it? I have to have it!

Looks like so much fun! I've only been to Keeneland once, but it was with the bf's family...a.k.a. no tailgating, koozies, or 24 oz. roadies allowed! (Don't tell, but your Keeneland looks way more fun :) )

Tres depressed I missed out on my first Keeneland experience. Your makeup looks extra fab in these pics, are you doing something new? I feel a Sephora binge coming over me real quick here.

And, no, I haven't had I chance to assault the new hire about CU with scaring him. I need the next HH to worm my way in I think.
