I think my dog is depressed

No seriously, I mean I have had my fair bout with da prozac, knowwhatimsayin', so it only seems natural my dog might go through spurts of depression right?

What are her symptoms? I'm so glad you asked.

1. She won't talk to me. Hardly even says hello to me at the door.

2. She refuses to sleep next to me. Usually she sleeps under the covers right under my arm, we spoon if you will. Its precious, she's like my cuddle toy, and lulls me to sleep with her rhythmic snorts. But recently she sleeps on the FOOT of the bed, on top of the covers, with her butt towards me.

I mean, classic cry for attention right?

3. she refuses to sit with me on the couch. And gives me the 'what ya gonna do about it' look

4. She made it very clear during the Bachelor Pad the other night, that she was not in the mood to even SEE me. Seriously Sadie? Is life so bad with me you have to attempt self suffocation?

I am such a good mommy. Yeah I am busy, but I make sure her life is as plush as that of a princess pug. She has a bb simon swarovski crystal collar for cryin' out loud. She gets blog swag. She sleeps on a tempurpedic matress. She gets manicures (by moi of course). And she is harldy ever by herself, someone is always home, might just not be me.

I don't know what's going on. DON , who has her PHD in canine psychology, seems to think I have an unruly teenager at my house. I need to claim da respect back. I just hate it when the pig in the wig  is mad at me! I take it so personal, and this to me friends, seems  extremely personal.

I mean look at her, all buddy buddy with my sis currently. What gives Sade??

So I have decided Sadie and I are going to have a date this weekend, doggie spa, park, a romance rekindle it you will. Here we are in happier times…

What's that you say? You think I am crazy obsessed with my dog? Psshh… at least I don't buy wigs for my cats #crazycatladies

Over and out.

This is so cute! I just got my new puppy cant wait to post pictures, but my other chihuahua is not happy right now about the new baby and is doing stuff the opposite of Sadie, always wanting to be on me, yelling at me to pet her CONSTANTLY and nips the little baby if she tries to get close to me. ridiculous. I am sure Sadie is just going through her rebellious stage and will soon be lovey dovey again!

I am obsessed with my dog too. He is quite possibly the happiest dog in the world and I honestly believe that he can be a beacon for world peace.

When he gets sad and depressed (which isn't very often) it rocks my world and makes me so worrisome!

I hope your date weekend makes everything better!

So i feel for you. sometimes my dog would do this to me too. and usually it seemed it was because I wasn't give her {what she considered to be} quality time together. even though much like yourself and miss sassy sadie, my marlee had a great plush little life goin. and still does now, just at my sisters house.
In any case i think this weekend will do you two some good :)

{And I dont mean to alarm you, but I havent recieved the book :/ not sure how long it tkaes though}

OMG she is too cute. I think she probs just misses her Lou, that's all! ;)
I want a pup so badly but I would have to hire someone to come take care of it while I'm gone 11 hrs a day!
I'm sure the little weekend date time will help!
You two are too cute! ;)

When I started my new job that kept me away from the house 12 hours a day that my dog was sooo mad at me. My husband thought I was crazy. But I could since him pulling away... right?? It has been 6 months and he is back to normal. No worries!!!
P.S. I love the outfits!!

Ah, yes, the teenage years. My Ella girl got awfully snooty with me about 6 months ago. It passes!

lol, i looove this post and yes, i totally know what you mean. I treat my dog, Bacardi as a prince and sometimes all i want to do is hold him and give him kisses, sometimes he just lays there and other times he furiously tries to get away. it's funny how our pets can hurt our feelings, but i have to remind myself that i'm probably just bugging the shit out of him lol.

So naturally due to our ESPN, we both signed our posts today with over and out. This is just getting ridiculous.

This post was hilarious. I loved every word. Minus the crazy cat lady part.

My latest post I just published may be of interest to you. #justsayin

I'm equally in love with my own dog so there is no judgement here...

If Bryan started giving me the cold shoulder like that, I'd plan a doggie day spa day too : )

Girl, I am completely with you! My puppy sometimes gets super hacked with me and I don't understand it. She definitely needs a little TLC and y'alls day of bonding tomorrow sounds perf!

Maybe you should invest in a doggie therapist? Just throwin' it out there :)

(Picture me with bifocals and a pencil in the corner of my mouth saying this) "I know you are listening to your dog, but are you really hearing what she's saying? I hear 'Ey am wanting zee petit ami, how you zay, boyfran, oui? to sweep me away to gay Paree!'

This post is too cute! My dog gets the same way. She's a bulldog, and I tell her when she's acting like that that she has a 'tude. And I go over and smother her with kisses until she gives kisses back. Dogs are smart, and they know when they're not getting the attention they want. So when us humans are super busy with our fabulous lives, sometimes they just don't understand and think we're just neglecting them. I think your doggy date idea this weekend is perfect and just what the pupper doctor ordered!

As a cat lover should I be offended by your last comment of people who buy wigs for cats? I've only bought mine one and it was for Halloween haha. The cats do look a little un happy in them. Hopefully Sadie perks up for you this weekend. :)

There is no SUCH thing as being too obsessed with our furbabies. Poor Sadie - I hope she gets to feeling better soon. Love your bloggy blog Pink Lou Lou...

My dog totally gets depressed sometimes too! My husband thinks I'm nuts for thinking that, but I swear she gets miffed at me sometimes! I can just tell that she's sad or angry. You and Sadie definitely need some quality time this weekend to talk through her issues. :-)

aahahahaha!! seriously, the best ever. That Sadie is a freakin' CRACK up. I have never seen a dog with such a personality. Like a real, legit human hormonal girl personality.

only yours PLL, only yours. :)

I totally know what youre talking about. I would get so sad if my dog had these symptoms. I was so sad during the summer when it was warmer and my pup wouldn't cuddle under the covers. Good news she was just hot.

Your dog became depressed when she found out that there were crazy cat wigs.

WTF?!?! Seriously. Cat wigs? I spit my morning coffee out when I saw that shiz.

Seriously, you have the cutest dog! She is precious!

Man, girl has some tude doesn't she! We were convinced Bruin hated us when he was going through his heartworm treatment for 2 months and couldn't leave his crate. I honestly thought that when he was done he would never love me again.

Good news, he still won't get out of my face. So all is well! Nothing a spa day won't fix!

This is hilarious!! I think sometimes that my girls need the doggie Prozac too! I honestly do have a friend that gives her pooch doggie Prozac. I thought she was joking for awhile until she was like, no, seriously...I'm for real! :) I'm sure Miss Sadie Bell just needs a little day of pampering with her momma...mani-pedi, doggie mimosa, mee-ssage...all will be well :)

Our puppy was anxious so we got her a dog walker since we were away from home for long hours. I think it helps :)
