Oh Country Music Awards, how I love you. So I was clearly pumped about the CMA’s last night. It is like my Christmas for real. My girl Carrie and cutie pie Brad Paisley hosted again and I just think they do a fantastic job. love.them.
Things I would like to discuss:
1.Reba Mcentire sang If I were a boy, by Beyonce. Was this completely random to anyone else? And does that woman age? Answer is no.
2. Did anyone else think that Carrie’s pink dress with the roses was a little PinkLouLou-esque. Of course I totally loved it. Miss ShopDandy told me she thinks it might be a Milly…
3. Taylor Swift’s weird mouthing of “what?” after she performed Back to December. I have been googling this all morning but haven’t found much yet. Possible theories include that she was surprised by the standing ovation she received, but I swear I thought she looked offended or something? If anyone has deets on this please catch me up to speed!
4. I am happy for Miranda Lambert, it was clearly her night and she deserves all those awards. Rock it girl. And how cute was she with her little fiancé Blake Shelton?
5. Why is it that Carrie has not ever been nominated for CMA Entertainer of the year? That girl runs that town it seems like. Don’t get me wrong, I love love Brad Paisley and he totally deserves to win too, but I find it odd she has never been nominated? Hm, anyways, I found this video on youtube and loved it. Not necessarily this whole “being snubbed” message, because frankly I think the girl has won buckets of awards and is happy with that, but I just loved all of the footage of her past performances. And at the end I think she just seems so sweet and sincere when she says
“If I can show people that there is a God, and you need to know him, then I have done my job…”
Stay classy Carrie, we love you.
Man I sound like a crazy whack job. I prefer to think I am a loyal fan, not a psycho stalker. ;) watch the video, I promise you will love it. I mean seriously there ARE worse ways to spend 10 minutes of your time am I right?
Have a great day ladies!
